   For a 2016 release, Coromandel Eau de Parfum deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Orris Root, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Bitter Orange and Citruses — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Coromandel Eau de Parfum, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Bitter Orange and Citruses — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Bitter Orange with a hint of Citruses — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   My first Chanel experience was this one, Coromandel Eau de Parfum (2016). That first spray gives a lovely Bitter Orange/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Patchouli and Orris Root feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A decant of Coromandel Eau de Parfum sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, White Chocolate and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Bitter Orange alongside Citruses, fresh and very easy to wear. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

That first spray gives a lovely Bitter Orange/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

As it settles, White Chocolate and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Orris Root, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
