I keep reaching for L’Eau de more than I expected to. Right away I get mostly Citron alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Rose with Rose Water comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Picked up a sample of L’Eau de after reading the community buzz (2012). The very first sniff is crisp Citron with Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Patchouli and Cedar come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

My first Chloé experience was this one, L’Eau de (2012). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Rose Water, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Citron/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Chloé knows how to compose, and L’Eau de (2012) is proof. Right away I get mostly Citron alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, Patchouli and Cedar come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I’ve been wearing L’Eau de on and off for a few weeks now (2012). Right away I get mostly Citron alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Citron and Grapefruit — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

A couple of wears in, L’Eau de has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Rose Water, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Citron/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

A couple of wears in, L’Eau de has really grown on me. The base rests on Patchouli and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Rose Water feel carefully balanced. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

Everyone keeps talking about L’Eau de, so I finally gave it a proper test. Give it a little time and Rose with Rose Water comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Patchouli and Cedar come through and give it real depth. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

A friend passed me a decant of L’Eau de (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Rose Water, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Citron with Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

Chloé knows how to compose, and L’Eau de (2012) is proof. The opening is built around Citron and Grapefruit — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Citron/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I picked up L’Eau de (2012) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Rose with Rose Water comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Citron alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A friend passed me a decant of L’Eau de (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Patchouli and Cedar come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

A decant of L’Eau de sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Patchouli and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Citron/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
