   I picked up Fresh Laundry (2005) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Musk plus Heliotrope and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A friend passed me a decant of Fresh Laundry (2005) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Musk and Heliotrope — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Grass with Lime peeking through, very much my kind of start. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Clean knows how to compose, and Fresh Laundry (2005) is proof. As it settles, Musk and Heliotrope come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Grass/Lime impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Everyone keeps talking about Fresh Laundry, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Grass/Lime impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Grass alongside Lime, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
