   I have owned Aromatics Elixir for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Chamomile alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I have owned Aromatics Elixir for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Chamomile and Aldehydes — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Picked up a sample of Aromatics Elixir after reading the community buzz (1971). Right away I get mostly Chamomile alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Chamomile with a hint of Aldehydes — it grabs attention without being pushy. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   For a 1971 release, Aromatics Elixir deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Carnation with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Chamomile and Aldehydes — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The base rests on Oakmoss and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

    My first Clinique experience was this one, Aromatics Elixir (1971). The very first sniff is crisp Chamomile with Aldehydes peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
