   A decant of Calyx sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Oakmoss and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   A couple of wears in, Calyx has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Green Leaves with a hint of Guava — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I picked up Calyx (2013) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily-of-the-Valley with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I picked up Calyx (2013) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Oakmoss and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Green Leaves alongside Guava, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
