   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Poppy. Right away I get mostly Cucumber alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Cucumber with a hint of Mandarin Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A couple of wears in, Poppy has really grown on me. That first spray gives a lovely Cucumber/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Marshmallow and Vanille come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. The composition is well made but not for me.

Give it a little time and Sweet Notes with Water Lily comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I keep reaching for Poppy more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sweet Notes with Water Lily, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, Marshmallow and Vanille come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

As it settles, Marshmallow and Vanille come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
