   A decant of Poppy Flower sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Water Lily, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Citruses with a hint of Litchi — it grabs attention without being pushy. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Coach knows how to compose, and Poppy Flower (2011) is proof. The drydown leans on Apricot plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Citruses with Litchi peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Everyone keeps talking about Poppy Flower, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Apricot and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Apricot and Musk come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

The base rests on Apricot and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day.
