   I keep reaching for Comme des Garcons 2 more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ink with Magnolia, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Angelica impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Everyone keeps talking about Comme des Garcons 2, so I finally gave it a proper test. Give it a little time and Ink with Magnolia comes forward — smooth and well done. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Angelica impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   Comme des Garcons knows how to compose, and Comme des Garcons 2 (1999) is proof. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Angelica — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Angelica impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I picked up Comme des Garcons 2 (1999) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Incense and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Angelica, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Comme des Garcons 2. As it settles, Incense and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Incense and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A friend passed me a decant of Comme des Garcons 2 (1999) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Angelica, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Angelica — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I have owned Comme des Garcons 2 for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The heart is the best part for me: Ink and Magnolia feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Angelica — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
