   Everyone keeps talking about L’Aimant, so I finally gave it a proper test. As it settles, Musk and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Ylang-Ylang with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about L’Aimant. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Neroli impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ylang-Ylang with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   My first Coty experience was this one, L’Aimant (1927). The drydown leans on Musk plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Neroli impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   My first Coty experience was this one, L’Aimant (1927). Give it a little time and Ylang-Ylang with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Neroli — bright and immediately recognizable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
