   I have owned Empreinte for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Iris with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Artemisia with a hint of Coriander — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A friend passed me a decant of Empreinte (1970) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on oak moss and Castoreum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Artemisia and Coriander — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I picked up Empreinte (1970) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Iris with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I’ve been wearing Empreinte on and off for a few weeks now (1970). The base rests on oak moss and Castoreum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on oak moss plus Castoreum and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   My first Courrèges experience was this one, Empreinte (1970). The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Artemisia/Coriander impression that dries down smoothly. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.
