   I keep reaching for Acqua Fiorentina more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Bergamot with Sicilian Bergamot, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Apple and Plum — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Creed knows how to compose, and Acqua Fiorentina (2009) is proof. The opening is built around Apple and Plum — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Apple alongside Plum, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I’ve been wearing Acqua Fiorentina on and off for a few weeks now (2009). The heart is the best part for me: Bergamot and Sicilian Bergamot feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on White Grapefruit plus Virginia Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   For a 2009 release, Acqua Fiorentina deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Apple with a hint of Plum — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Bergamot with Sicilian Bergamot comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   A decant of Acqua Fiorentina sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The first minutes are all about Apple with a hint of Plum — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Apple with Plum peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

Give it a little time and Bergamot with Sicilian Bergamot comes forward — smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
