   I’ve been wearing Millésime Impérial on and off for a few weeks now (1995). The base rests on Sea Notes and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Sea Salt with Fruity Notes peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Creed knows how to compose, and Millésime Impérial (1995) is proof. The first minutes are all about Sea Salt with a hint of Fruity Notes — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Sea Salt/Fruity Notes impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Give it a little time and Sicilian Lemon with Bergamot comes forward — smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
