   A decant of Royal Water sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The very first sniff is crisp Citruses with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Basil with Allspice, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Everyone keeps talking about Royal Water, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Citruses/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Citruses alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The very first sniff is crisp Citruses with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

That first spray gives a lovely Citruses/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I wanted to like it more than I did.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Basil with Allspice, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
