   A couple of wears in, Zino Davidoff has really grown on me. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Geranium feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Brazilian Rosewood/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Everyone keeps talking about Zino Davidoff, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Brazilian Rosewood alongside Lavender, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Patchouli and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The base rests on Patchouli and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   My first Davidoff experience was this one, Zino Davidoff (1986). Give it a little time and Rose with Geranium comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Geranium feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The first minutes are all about Brazilian Rosewood with a hint of Lavender — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Geranium, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
