   A friend passed me a decant of Dior Homme (2011) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Lavender alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Leather and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I’ve been wearing Dior Homme on and off for a few weeks now (2011). Give it a little time and Iris with Cacao comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Leather plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I keep reaching for Dior Homme more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Leather plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Cacao feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Dior Homme on and off for a few weeks now (2011). The opening is built around Lavender and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Leather and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Cacao, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
