   My first Dior experience was this one, Diorella (1972). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honeysuckle with Moroccan Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Sicilian Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. The composition is well made but not for me.

   My first Dior experience was this one, Diorella (1972). That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Sicilian Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Green Notes with a hint of Sicilian Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Diorella on and off for a few weeks now (1972). As it settles, Oakmoss and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Oakmoss and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Diorella (1972) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Honeysuckle with Moroccan Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Oakmoss and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Dior knows how to compose, and Diorella (1972) is proof. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Sicilian Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
