A friend passed me a decant of Dioressence (1969) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Geranium with Cinnamon, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Patchouli alongside Green Notes, fresh and very easy to wear. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I have owned Dioressence for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Patchouli and Green Notes β€” bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Patchouli alongside Green Notes, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I would happily buy a full bottle.

A couple of wears in, Dioressence has really grown on me. The opening is built around Patchouli and Green Notes β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Patchouli with a hint of Green Notes β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Everyone keeps talking about Dioressence, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Oakmoss and Patchouli β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I’ve been wearing Dioressence on and off for a few weeks now (1969). That first spray gives a lovely Patchouli/Green Notes impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Patchouli and Green Notes β€” bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

For a 1969 release, Dioressence deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Patchouli with a hint of Green Notes β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. As it settles, Oakmoss and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

For a 1969 release, Dioressence deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Geranium with Cinnamon comes forward β€” smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Patchouli with a hint of Green Notes β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

My first Dior experience was this one, Dioressence (1969). Give it a little time and Geranium with Cinnamon comes forward β€” smooth and well done. As it settles, Oakmoss and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I picked up Dioressence (1969) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Geranium and Cinnamon feel carefully balanced. A decant of Dioressence sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Geranium and Cinnamon feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Patchouli with Green Notes peeking through, very much my kind of start. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
