   My first Dior experience was this one, Eau Sauvage Cologne (2015). Right away I get mostly Calabrian bergamot alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Calabrian bergamot with a hint of Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Eau Sauvage Cologne (2015) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vetiver come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 2015 release, Eau Sauvage Cologne deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Calabrian bergamot/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Calabrian bergamot and Grapefruit — bright and immediately recognizable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The first minutes are all about Calabrian bergamot with a hint of Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I picked up Eau Sauvage Cologne (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Right away I get mostly Calabrian bergamot alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Petitgrain with Hedione comes forward — smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The very first sniff is crisp Calabrian bergamot with Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.
