   Picked up a sample of Hypnotic Poison after reading the community buzz (1998). That first spray gives a lovely Coconut/Plum impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Vanilla and Almond come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I’ve been wearing Hypnotic Poison on and off for a few weeks now (1998). The base rests on Vanilla and Almond — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Coconut alongside Plum, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   My first Dior experience was this one, Hypnotic Poison (1998). The very first sniff is crisp Coconut with Plum peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Brazilian Rosewood with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
