   Picked up a sample of J’Adore Absolu after reading the community buzz (2018). That first spray gives a lovely Jasmine Sambac/Magnolia impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Jasmine with Indian Tuberose comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about J’Adore Absolu. Right away I get mostly Jasmine Sambac alongside Magnolia, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Jasmine Sambac with a hint of Magnolia — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I picked up J’Adore Absolu (2018) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Indian Tuberose feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Orange Blossom and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

The base rests on Orange Blossom — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

The opening is built around Jasmine Sambac and Magnolia — bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of J’Adore Absolu sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Orange Blossom come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Jasmine Sambac/Magnolia impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
