   Dior knows how to compose, and J’adore In Joy (2017) is proof. The opening is built around Sea Salt — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine Sambac and Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I picked up J’adore In Joy (2017) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. As it settles, Peach come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Jasmine Sambac with Ylang-Ylang comes forward — smooth and well done. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A couple of wears in, J’adore In Joy has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Sea Salt, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Peach — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I keep reaching for J’adore In Joy more than I expected to. The opening is built around Sea Salt — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Sea Salt, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Dior knows how to compose, and J’adore In Joy (2017) is proof. That first spray gives a lovely Sea Salt impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine Sambac with Ylang-Ylang, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The first minutes are all about Sea Salt — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The drydown leans on Peach and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I wanted to like it more than I did.
