   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Midnight Poison Elixir. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Caramel, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Patchouli with Caramel comes forward — smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Dior knows how to compose, and Midnight Poison Elixir (2008) is proof. Give it a little time and Patchouli with Caramel comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Caramel, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I’ve been wearing Midnight Poison Elixir on and off for a few weeks now (2008). The heart is the best part for me: Patchouli and Caramel feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Caramel, which is where the fragrance really shines. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
