   A couple of wears in, Pure Poison has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Jasmine alongside Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Sandalwood and White Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A decant of Pure Poison sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Jasmine/Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Gardenia and Orange Blossom feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 2004 release, Pure Poison deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Jasmine with Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus White Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
