   Everyone keeps talking about Rouge Trafalgar, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Strawberry, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Strawberry impression that dries down smoothly. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A couple of wears in, Rouge Trafalgar has really grown on me. The base rests on Musk and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Strawberry, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I keep reaching for Rouge Trafalgar more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Strawberry impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Raspberry with Strawberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I picked up Rouge Trafalgar (2020) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Strawberry, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, Musk and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A friend passed me a decant of Rouge Trafalgar (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Raspberry with Strawberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Strawberry — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Strawberry — it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The opening is built around Raspberry and Strawberry — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
