   Picked up a sample of 34 Boulevard Saint Germain after reading the community buzz (2011). Right away I get mostly Clove alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Geranium with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I picked up 34 Boulevard Saint Germain (2011) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Woodsy Notes and Resin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Geranium with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   Diptyque knows how to compose, and 34 Boulevard Saint Germain (2011) is proof. The opening is built around Clove and Cinnamon — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Clove alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The first minutes are all about Clove with a hint of Cinnamon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   For a 2011 release, 34 Boulevard Saint Germain deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Clove/Cinnamon impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Clove alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   A friend passed me a decant of 34 Boulevard Saint Germain (2011) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Clove alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Geranium and Iris feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
