   Everyone keeps talking about Dolce Peony, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Cyclamen impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Cyclamen peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Everyone keeps talking about Dolce Peony, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Cyclamen impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Cyclamen, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Dolce Peony. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Cyclamen, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Mirabelle and Honey — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   My first Dolce&Gabbana experience was this one, Dolce Peony (2019). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Cyclamen peeking through, very much my kind of start. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The opening is built around Pear and Cyclamen — bright and immediately recognizable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A friend passed me a decant of Dolce Peony (2019) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Peony with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The opening is built around Pear and Cyclamen — bright and immediately recognizable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
