   For a 2012 release, Potion for Women deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Violet with Blackberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Violet and Blackberry — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   A couple of wears in, Potion for Women has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Violet with Blackberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rhubarb with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I have owned Potion for Women for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Rhubarb with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   Dsquared² knows how to compose, and Potion for Women (2012) is proof. Give it a little time and Rhubarb with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Potion for Women (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Rhubarb with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
