   My first Elizabeth Taylor experience was this one, Passion (1988). The heart is the best part for me: Spicy Notes and Sandalwood feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Coriander, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first Elizabeth Taylor experience was this one, Passion (1988). The heart is the best part for me: Spicy Notes and Sandalwood feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Coriander impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   A couple of wears in, Passion has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Coriander — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Incense plus Civet and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I have owned Passion for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Spicy Notes with Sandalwood comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Incense and Civet — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Coriander peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
