My first Ella K Parfums experience was this one, Camélia K (2023). The drydown leans on Tonka Bean plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Indian Tuberose with Orange Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

For a 2023 release, Camélia K deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Indian Tuberose with Orange Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Blood Orange alongside Pitahaya, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Camélia K. The drydown leans on Tonka Bean plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Blood Orange and Pitahaya — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

Everyone keeps talking about Camélia K, so I finally gave it a proper test. The first minutes are all about Blood Orange with a hint of Pitahaya — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Blood Orange with Pitahaya peeking through, very much my kind of start. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

A friend passed me a decant of Camélia K (2023) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Indian Tuberose with Orange Blossom, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Indian Tuberose with Orange Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Ella K Parfums knows how to compose, and Camélia K (2023) is proof. The very first sniff is crisp Blood Orange with Pitahaya peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Blood Orange alongside Pitahaya, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
