   A friend passed me a decant of Diva (1983) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Indian Tuberose peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Honey and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I picked up Diva (1983) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Honey and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Turkish Rose and Moroccan Rose feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A decant of Diva sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Turkish Rose and Moroccan Rose feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Indian Tuberose — bright and immediately recognizable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Indian Tuberose impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Indian Tuberose — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Turkish Rose with Moroccan Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Indian Tuberose — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
