   I keep reaching for Especially Escada Elixir more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Turkish Rose and Plum feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   Picked up a sample of Especially Escada Elixir after reading the community buzz (2013). As it settles, Patchouli and White Musk come through and give it real depth. The first minutes are all about Pear with a hint of Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A friend passed me a decant of Especially Escada Elixir (2013) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Turkish Rose and Plum feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus White Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
