   Picked up a sample of Taj Sunset after reading the community buzz (2011). That first spray gives a lovely Mango/Nectarine impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Coconut and Musk come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   For a 2011 release, Taj Sunset deserves more attention than it gets. As it settles, Coconut and Musk come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Coconut plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A decant of Taj Sunset sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Mango and Nectarine — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Coconut and Musk come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The first minutes are all about Mango with a hint of Nectarine — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

As it settles, Coconut and Musk come through and give it real depth. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

Give it a little time and Raspberry with Star apple comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

The drydown leans on Coconut plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

I wanted to like it more than I did.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Raspberry with Star apple, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, Coconut and Musk come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. The composition is well made but not for me.
