   Everyone keeps talking about Escentric 03, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Vetiver plus Virginia Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Tea with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Escentric Molecules knows how to compose, and Escentric 03 (2010) is proof. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tea with Iris, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Lime/Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Everyone keeps talking about Escentric 03, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tea with Iris, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Lime with Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A decant of Escentric 03 sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Lime and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Lime with a hint of Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

Right away I get mostly Lime alongside Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Give it a little time and Tea with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
