   Everyone keeps talking about Lauder for Men, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Oakmoss and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Juniper Berries and Galbanum — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I have owned Lauder for Men for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Juniper Berries with a hint of Galbanum — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Juniper Berries alongside Galbanum, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Lauder for Men (1985) and I wasn’t prepared for it. That first spray gives a lovely Juniper Berries/Galbanum impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Juniper Berries and Galbanum — bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
