I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Pleasures. The heart is the best part for me: Lily-of-the-Valley and Peony feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily-of-the-Valley with Peony, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I keep reaching for Pleasures more than I expected to. The opening is built around Green Notes and Freesia — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Green Notes with Freesia peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Estée Lauder knows how to compose, and Pleasures (1995) is proof. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily-of-the-Valley with Peony, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley with Peony comes forward — smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Picked up a sample of Pleasures after reading the community buzz (1995). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily-of-the-Valley with Peony, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Lily-of-the-Valley and Peony feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

A couple of wears in, Pleasures has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Freesia, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley with Peony comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

For a 1995 release, Pleasures deserves more attention than it gets. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Freesia, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley with Peony comes forward — smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I have owned Pleasures for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Freesia impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Musk and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Freesia impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I have owned Pleasures for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Freesia, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Musk plus Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
