I have owned White Linen for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Hyacinth and Carnation feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I’ve been wearing White Linen on and off for a few weeks now (1978). The heart is the best part for me: Hyacinth and Carnation feel carefully balanced. The base rests on Oakmoss and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

I’ve been wearing White Linen on and off for a few weeks now (1978). The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Hyacinth with Carnation comes forward — smooth and well done. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Estée Lauder knows how to compose, and White Linen (1978) is proof. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Hyacinth and Carnation feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

A decant of White Linen sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I picked up White Linen (1978) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

For a 1978 release, White Linen deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Hyacinth with Carnation comes forward — smooth and well done. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I have owned White Linen for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Hyacinth with Carnation, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

A decant of White Linen sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Oakmoss and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Hyacinth with Carnation comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

A couple of wears in, White Linen has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Hyacinth and Carnation feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
