   A couple of wears in, Messe de Minuit has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Myrhh with Cinnamon comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Myrhh and Incense — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   Everyone keeps talking about Messe de Minuit, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Myrhh and Incense — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Orange alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Give it a little time and Myrhh with Cinnamon comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I keep reaching for Messe de Minuit more than I expected to. The base rests on Myrhh and Incense — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Myrhh and Incense come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Messe de Minuit more than I expected to. The opening is built around Orange and Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Myrhh with Cinnamon, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   For a 1994 release, Messe de Minuit deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Myrhh plus Incense and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Orange and Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
