   I picked up Spiky Muse (2025) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Pistachio, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   Ex Nihilo knows how to compose, and Spiky Muse (2025) is proof. The base rests on Akigalawood® and Ambrofix — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Pink Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

The opening is built around Bergamot and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Everyone keeps talking about Spiky Muse, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Pistachio feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Akigalawood® plus Ambrofix and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
