   A decant of Life Essence sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Sandalwood and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A friend passed me a decant of Life Essence (1996) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Lemon alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Lemon and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The opening is built around Lemon and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Right away I get mostly Lemon alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
