   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Oud Touch. The drydown leans on Amber plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Caramel with Raspberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A friend passed me a decant of Oud Touch (2014) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Olibanum feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Olibanum, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I keep reaching for Oud Touch more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Caramel/Raspberry impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Amber plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A couple of wears in, Oud Touch has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Caramel alongside Raspberry, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Caramel with a hint of Raspberry — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   My first Franck Olivier experience was this one, Oud Touch (2014). The base rests on Amber and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Olibanum feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Olibanum, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
