French Avenue knows how to compose, and Aether (2024) is proof. The drydown leans on Musk plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Green Apple and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I’ve been wearing Aether on and off for a few weeks now (2024). Give it a little time and Cedar with Petitgrain comes forward β€” smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Petitgrain feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

French Avenue knows how to compose, and Aether (2024) is proof. The very first sniff is crisp Green Apple with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Musk plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Aether. Give it a little time and Cedar with Petitgrain comes forward β€” smooth and well done. That first spray gives a lovely Green Apple/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I keep reaching for Aether more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Musk plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Petitgrain feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Aether. Right away I get mostly Green Apple alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cedar with Petitgrain, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

For a 2024 release, Aether deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Petitgrain feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Green Apple with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

My first French Avenue experience was this one, Aether (2024). The base rests on Musk and Oakmoss β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Green Apple alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I picked up Aether (2024) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Green Apple and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Petitgrain feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

A friend passed me a decant of Aether (2024) and I wasn’t prepared for it. That first spray gives a lovely Green Apple/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Musk and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

A decant of Aether sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Petitgrain feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Green Apple/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
