   I picked up Spectre Ghost (2023) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Pink Pepper and Blackcurrant feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Vanilla and Cedarwood come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Spectre Ghost. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Pink Pepper with Blackcurrant, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Vanilla and Cedarwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

Give it a little time and Pink Pepper with Blackcurrant comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

As it settles, Vanilla and Cedarwood come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

That first spray gives a lovely Ginger/Cardamom impression that dries down smoothly. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

I wanted to like it more than I did.
