Giorgio Armani knows how to compose, and Armani Code Colonia (2017) is proof. The opening is built around Bergamot and Mandarin Orange β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Tonka Bean and Amberwood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. The composition is well made but not for me.

Picked up a sample of Armani Code Colonia after reading the community buzz (2017). That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Tonka Bean and Amberwood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I picked up Armani Code Colonia (2017) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I’ve been wearing Armani Code Colonia on and off for a few weeks now (2017). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orange Blossom with Clary Sage, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Tonka Bean plus Amberwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

A friend passed me a decant of Armani Code Colonia (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Bergamot and Mandarin Orange β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Orange Blossom and Clary Sage feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Giorgio Armani knows how to compose, and Armani Code Colonia (2017) is proof. The opening is built around Bergamot and Mandarin Orange β€” bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Giorgio Armani knows how to compose, and Armani Code Colonia (2017) is proof. The drydown leans on Tonka Bean plus Amberwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Tonka Bean and Amberwood come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. The composition is well made but not for me.

The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orange Blossom with Clary Sage, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

A friend passed me a decant of Armani Code Colonia (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I keep reaching for Armani Code Colonia more than I expected to. The opening is built around Bergamot and Mandarin Orange β€” bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Orange Blossom with Clary Sage comes forward β€” smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I have owned Armani Code Colonia for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Bergamot and Mandarin Orange β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. Two sprays are enough β€” it carries well without shouting. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

A decant of Armani Code Colonia sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Orange Blossom with Clary Sage comes forward β€” smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Orange Blossom and Clary Sage feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This one gets my highest praise β€” beautiful from start to finish.

My first Giorgio Armani experience was this one, Armani Code Colonia (2017). Give it a little time and Orange Blossom with Clary Sage comes forward β€” smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

For a 2017 release, Armani Code Colonia deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Orange Blossom and Clary Sage feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
