   A friend passed me a decant of Armani Code Sport (2011) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Mint and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Mint/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Armani Code Sport. The very first sniff is crisp Mint with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Water Notes and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The very first sniff is crisp Mint with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

    My first Giorgio Armani experience was this one, Armani Code Sport (2011). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lemon with Ginger flower, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Water Notes plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
