   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Gentleman Eau de Parfum. As it settles, Black Vanilla Husk and Tolu Balsam come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Black Vanilla Husk and Tolu Balsam — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   My first Givenchy experience was this one, Gentleman Eau de Parfum (2018). That first spray gives a lovely Black Pepper/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Black Pepper with a hint of Lavender — it grabs attention without being pushy. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Everyone keeps talking about Gentleman Eau de Parfum, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Black Pepper/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Black Vanilla Husk plus Tolu Balsam and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I’ve been wearing Gentleman Eau de Parfum on and off for a few weeks now (2018). As it settles, Black Vanilla Husk and Tolu Balsam come through and give it real depth. The very first sniff is crisp Black Pepper with Lavender peeking through, very much my kind of start. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The drydown leans on Black Vanilla Husk plus Tolu Balsam and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I have owned Gentleman Eau de Parfum for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Black Pepper/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Black Pepper and Lavender — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
