   A friend passed me a decant of L’Interdit (1957) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Strawberry, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing L’Interdit on and off for a few weeks now (1957). Give it a little time and Iris with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Strawberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I picked up L’Interdit (1957) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Strawberry — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Strawberry — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A decant of L’Interdit sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Sandalwood and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Sandalwood and Amber come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about L’Interdit, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Violet, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Violet feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I keep reaching for L’Interdit more than I expected to. Give it a little time and Iris with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

As it settles, Sandalwood and Amber come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
