   My first Givenchy experience was this one, L’Interdit Absolu (2024). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Indian Tuberose with Jasmine Sambac, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Guatemalan Cardamom/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I have owned L’Interdit Absolu for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Tobacco and Rum come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Tobacco and Rum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Picked up a sample of L’Interdit Absolu after reading the community buzz (2024). That first spray gives a lovely Guatemalan Cardamom/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Tobacco and Rum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about L’Interdit Absolu. Right away I get mostly Guatemalan Cardamom alongside Lavender, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Guatemalan Cardamom with a hint of Lavender — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Give it a little time and Indian Tuberose with Jasmine Sambac comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

    I’ve been wearing L’Interdit Absolu on and off for a few weeks now (2024). The base rests on Tobacco and Rum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Guatemalan Cardamom and Lavender — bright and immediately recognizable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
