   Picked up a sample of Pi Neo after reading the community buzz (2008). The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vanillin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The first minutes are all about Mandarin Orange with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I picked up Pi Neo (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Mandarin Orange with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Patchouli and Vanillin come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I picked up Pi Neo (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Mandarin Orange with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Mandarin Orange alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Pi Neo. The opening is built around Mandarin Orange and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Patchouli and Vanillin come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Givenchy knows how to compose, and Pi Neo (2008) is proof. As it settles, Patchouli and Vanillin come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cedar with Myrtle, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A friend passed me a decant of Pi Neo (2008) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Myrtle feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vanillin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
