   Picked up a sample of Xeryus after reading the community buzz (1986). The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Balsam Fir and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Lavender and Jasmine — bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I picked up Xeryus (1986) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cypress with Juniper Berries, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Oakmoss and Balsam Fir — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 1986 release, Xeryus deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Oakmoss and Balsam Fir — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Lavender with Jasmine peeking through, very much my kind of start. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

As it settles, Oakmoss and Balsam Fir come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
