   A decant of Gucci Rush sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Coriander and Damask Rose feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Peach/Californian Gardenia impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Picked up a sample of Gucci Rush after reading the community buzz (1999). The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Natural Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Peach alongside Californian Gardenia, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Gucci Rush (1999) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Patchouli and Natural Vanilla come through and give it real depth. The first minutes are all about Peach with a hint of Californian Gardenia — it grabs attention without being pushy. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. The composition is well made but not for me.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Coriander with Damask Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
